Week 2 of Seasonal Sundays is HERE! Time is just escaping me. How is it already a week later?
Thanks to All that Participated last week and gave Seasonal Sunday’s a surprisingly successful kickoff!
I was thinking that I would like to highlight a different Blogger each week- So this week Ill kick this off by sending a Big Hug All the way to Brussels Belgium. Sophie of Sophie’s Foodie Files is a true Artist! She’s one I absolutely love to check in on. Always something fun and interesting coming from her kitchen.
Sophie’s recipe for Braised Duck Served With Parsnip and Carrot Mash instantly caught my attention last week!
Onward.
My Submission this week is a:
(Gluten/Soy Free, Vegan) Chocolate Pear Coffee Cake with Hazelnut Streusel
This Coffee cake has been a bit of a project- evolving over the last several months. I wanted to somehow combine the flavors of Pear, Chocolate and Hazelnut. Wonderful flavors that I had a strong feeling would marry well in the right format. I made them once as a Quick Bread, again in a Cake Form and Finally last evening I decided to take it in the route of Coffee Cake. The Streusel was a little tricky too- I found that without enough sugar its flavor became overbearing. So this- is the end result. One I’m happy with
Now. Of course. Its your turn!
Here are the RULES:
- Recipes must contain one Seasonal Ingredient ( see Winter List below)
- You may link up old or new recipes. Wonderful food is always worth sharing! Feel free to share up to 6 recipes each week.
- It is preferred that recipes are Gluten Free- but not required.
- Please include a link to your blog in reference to Seasonal Sundays so that your readers may also participate.

Hi Brittany, thanks for inviting me! Looking forward to
checking out the other delicious sounding entries!
Britany, thank you so much for inviting me to your recipe hop. I'm glad you made that comment. One of my sons has multiple allergies including dairy and gluten. Your recipes sound wonderful and perfect for my family.
I can't wait to go take a peak at everyone's entries.
