Seasonal Sunday (01-30-11)

Post image for Seasonal Sunday (01-30-11)

..SO as some of you may have noticed I’m currently experiencing some major technical difficulties. After doing a recipe plug in- update yesterday I soon after discovered that every single posted Ingredient list was gone from the site. (they still exist within wordpress- so restoration will happen) But as you can imagine.. I’m a little stressed over the situation.

So I’m a little behind the ball here today. But irregardless the show MUST GO ON!

This Week I would Like to Feature the  site Gluten Free By Nature . The Writer Stephanie post’s recipes that are Gluten,Dairy Soy and and Almost Sugar Free.  As an added perk she takes a Seasonal Approach to her cooking as well. (Obviously this makes me an instant fan/ follower)  You will also find some great articles on healthy living For example she recently posted a fantastic article on the Importance of Drinking Water (something so much of us do not do enough!) Last week Stephanie Shared with Seasonal Sundays a recipe for Clementine Ice Cream!  Go Check it out.

I am unable to share a recipe this week.. since well you won’t be able to see the ingredients even if I did. (Fingers crossed that I can get this issue resolved soon)

But YOU can share your recipes! Thank goodness for that!

Here are the Rules:

  1. Recipes must contain one Seasonal Ingredient (See below for the list of foods that are currently in season)
  2. You may link up old or new recipes. Wonderful food is always worth sharing! Feel free to share up to 6 recipes each week.
  3. Gluten Free Recipes are NOT required- this event is meant to inspire ideas for all. However I do ask that if your recipe is Gluten Free that you give it the “GF” Label.
  4. Please include a link to your blog in reference to Seasonal Sundays so that your readers may also participate.

Just realized I forgot to leave a comment about Stephanie. I love Stephanie! She's a dear and has such awesome recipes! No deprivation at all over at Gluten Free by Nature. Clementine Ice Cream is a good example of that. I also like her Frozen Hot Chocolate (I think that's what she calls it), and many more wonderful recipes. :-)

So glad I was able to participate this week. Was on a mission to clean out the fridge and the pantry and use up ingredients that were laying around. This Cauliflower Curry was a first time experiment, but it was really tasty.

I can't believe I never found you before this! What a great link party!! We try to cook seasonally as well- along with about a million other guidelines, like gluten-free, white sugar-free, whole food, low salicylate... the list goes on and keeps getting stricter the more we learn. BUT the good news is that we keep learning and doing better, and pushing ourselves to really make good food even within those constraints.
Thanks for stopping by our blog and inviting us here. I'm sure we'll be regulars!! <3
