Hello Friends!

Welcome to this weeks Seasonal Sunday!

Notice any changes? Real Sustenance got itself a fun little makeover this week :) . Julie Forward from Forward Branding put together this awesome logo for me! Big thanks to Julie!

This week I would like to Feature a Special Blogger than I have grown quite fond of. May I introduce to you Debi- From Hunter’s Lyonesse. Debi’s a blogger your going to want to know- she’s creative, sweet and all around an amazing friend to have! Throw in the fact that her recipes always wow! Two come to mind.. Check out her Green Chai Smoothie and her Citrus Mint Quinoa with Golden Beets!

My Submission this week is a fast and easy Thai Salad. It has a really nice sweet and salty balance.

Easy Jicama Papaya & Carrot Salad

I suggest making it alongside my recipe for:  Gluten Free Peach-Curry Marinated Chicken with Coconut & Panko Crust. as the flavors of the two dishes mesh well!

And now of course its your turn!

Here are the rules:

  1. Recipes must contain one Seasonal Ingredient (See below for the list of foods that are currently in season)
  2. You may link up old or new recipes. Wonderful food is always worth sharing! Feel free to share up to 6 recipes each week.
  3. Gluten Free Recipes are NOT required- this event is meant to inspire ideas for all. However I do ask that if your recipe is Gluten Free that you give it the “GF” Label.
  4. Please include a link in your blog in reference to Seasonal Sundays so that your readers may also participate.

I love the new look, Brittany! And I really like the sound of your salad. I've never made anything with jicama, and I'm always up for trying something new. Thanks! I've submitted a mashup of sweet potatoes, black beans, and quinoa in a veggie burger. Loving this combo!

Happy Sunday!

Brittney, Thanks for the comment. I am loving your blog! I would love to link up a recipe sometime. It's amazing how many people I have found with simular stories to ours! It's nice to know we're not alone in our food struggles. :] As for the heart shape inside the cake, if you click on the Studio 5 link on the top of the post it will take you to a video showing you how to do the heart shape. It really is such a cute idea, but like I said in my post the idea wasn't mine. :] I would love to be friends! The recipes here look great! Have a great day!!!
