Seasonal Sunday (02-27-11)

by Brittany on February 27, 2011

Happy Seasonal Sunday!

I am extremely happy that this is the last week of February.  My Desperation for spring is growing. You may have picked up on the fact that my recipes the past few weeks have been more a on the tropical side. I’ll continue that theme today by including my latest recipe for:

Raw Kiwi & Lime Cheesecake

Each bite of this creamy- Allergy Free dessert will remind you of a fresh tropical drink. I’m in awe with just how easy it was to make- and how bright the flavors are- and of course the color  of the cheesecake is really fun too!

This week I would like to Highlight A Blogger that I recently discovered. Reva from kaarasaaram.com is a true creative. Scanning through her recipes left me inspired.  You will also notice how bright and happy her photography is.  I was impressed when I noticed she had recipes that included Passion Fruit- as recipes using tis fruit are hard to come by. Be sure to check out her recipes for: Passion Fruit Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse and Mango Passionfruit Sweet Sticky Rice.

Now its YOUR turn to share in the Seasonal Fun.

Here are the Rules:

  1. Recipes must contain one Seasonal Ingredient (See below for the list of foods that are currently in season)
  2. You may link up old or new recipes. Wonderful food is always worth sharing! Feel free to share up to 6 recipes each week.
  3. Gluten Free Recipes are NOT required- this event is meant to inspire ideas for all. However I do ask that if your recipe is Gluten Free that you give it the “GF” Label.
  4. Please include a link in your blog in reference to Seasonal Sundays so that your readers may also participate.

I'm STILL amazed by your beautiful, raw cheesecake, Brittany!! Thanks for sharing Reva with us and look at all the wonderful recipes this week. :-) Well, after tweeting with you, I went from sharing no recipes to two. LOL One is the Pumpkin Pie Smoothie that you suggested (it really is too good to just enjoy in the fall) and the other is Jules' coffee cake, which actually contains the ingredient in its name. Oh, and it's yummy. ;-)

Have a wonderful Sunday, Brittany, and all! xo,

Shirley
