Vitamins are important. Especially important for those of us with autoimmune issues. A balanced body with all of its nutritional needs being met is far less likely to be riddled with autoimmune attacks.
But finding vitamins that are certified gluten free? Thats rare. For that reason I am so pleased to introduce all of you to my sponsor- Wellesse. Creator of great tasting, easy to take liquid vitamins. I have been approached over the past year by a number of companies interested in sponsoring me, and many did not fit within what I’m trying to promote. When I learned that not only did Wellesse have gluten free vitamins but also sugar free & dairy free (except for 1 product) I was thrilled.
Just a few weeks ago I had the privilege of flying out to Seattle for a week to teach a class at the GIG conference with Iris Higgins. During my stay we also spent a wonderful afternoon at the Wellesse plant! What a great time- we watched from start to finish the fascinating process in which their vitamins are made. I can tell you from first hand experience- they are serious about gluten free safety!
These are the giant mixing tanks that make big batches of carefully tested vitamins.
Where the packaging begins! Bottles comes out of this machine and are organized so that they can be filled.
The bottles are filled.
The lids placed on and sealed.
Time for the labels!
This was my favorite part to watch!
After that, the plastic label was adhered to the bottles and they went into packaging. So cool to see the process start to finish!
These vitamins taste more than good enough to take on their own. But, we really enjoy throwing them into smoothies. As many of you know sugary fruit smoothies are not an option for me at the moment as I ward off some candida issues. But, abstaining from fruit does not mean living without smoothies and shakes. With the use of a creamy avocado all kinds of amazing beverages can be made! Today I am sharing a very simple, basic and healthy Chocolate Shake recipe that can be modified in many ways to meet a variety of different dietary needs! Today I’m highlighting the Wellesse Calcium with Vitamin D liquid vitamin. BUT because chocolate taste great with both citrus flavors and berries – this recipe will compliment the flavor of ANY Wellesse Liquid Vitamin.
Sugar & Dairy Free Chocolate Shake
1/3 Cup Soaked Nuts (any variety should do- I like Hazelnuts, Macadamia or Cashew)
1 Avocado (pit and skin removed)
1 Tbs of Cocoa (or Carob) Powder
4 Ice Cubes
1/2-2/3 Cup Cold Water , Milk or Yogurt (Dairy or nondairy)
Stevia to taste
Pinch Salt
1 serving of Wellesse Calcium with Vitamin D
Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Note: For those looking to avoid nuts- they can be left out. I like to add them in for a little extra flavor and protein. Make sure to soak the nuts for a few hours so that they fully blend.

At this point, iron is crucial for both my husband and me. We are both fighting anemia.
I think the joint movement and the b vitamins would be very helpful to me!! A good multi would be awesome too!
Vitamin D!
A good multivitamin and Vitamin D3 makes my world go round in a much better way!
Hmm… I can’t live without my D3.
Definitely D.. Its so good for so many reasons.
Since I am recovering from Caeliac Disease, any nutrients that I can get in a more absorb-able formula re high on my list. Anything to help the small intestine absorb what it needs more easily!
I shared this giveaway on my Facebook page!
I also commented and posted your website on Welesse’s FB page.
So many are ‘vital’ – but for me right now, it’s B.
D3 is the best and something all women should take daily. If I were to win, I think I’d be chugging down the Liquid D3! Thanks for the opportunity to win this great package!
Lynn Schadler
Enzymes and probiotics!
that’s tough– I’ll say vitamin D. somedays I don’t get much time outside (and somedays there is just no sun to soak up!)
I think any immune-enhancing supplements are the most important! (Like a good dfgf probiotic, vit c, MSM).
I commented on Facebook about this offer
Another comment on the Wellesse Facebook site
And yet another….I posted the contest on my Facebook page
Last one! I promise! I posted a comment on your site as well
I have been looking for a good GF Multi Vitamin that is not so big to sallow! This would be perfect!
I’ve been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, four bulging discs, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance and stubborn candida. Due to the major damage gluten has done to my colon & intestines, I definitely need
Digestive 3-in-1 Health Liquid. I definitely need vitamin D and Joint Movement Glucosamine Liquid for the fibro & back issues. I shared this giveaway on Facebook & Twitter.
For me, I need the multivitamin right now, the most.
I just left a message on the Wellesse Facebook page

I should add High Potency B Complex is SUPER important to me as well. Its very difficult to find a liquid version. Im very interested in trying this one out!
For me it would be a B complex
At this point I’d have to say D3 although I’m VERY interested in checking out the Joint Movement – my knees get sore from running!
I posted this to my fb page
I shared on my Facebook page!!
I think all vitamins are important however living in the North Vit D is one of my most important
I also “liked” and commented on Wellese’s FB page
Commented on their FB page!
Re-posted the contest and shared the recipe on FB!
For me it is Vitamin D, Vitamin B and Calcium my body does not process them normally but a good multivitamin taken daily is great for most everyone.
Any vitamin you are deficient in is important but I feel vitamin d, b , multi vitamin with iron and fish oil is important!
I wanna win… It’s hard for me to find supplements that my body can tolerate… I would love to give this a shot… I have been having issues getting enough b vitamins and vitamin c… I’ve been having issues with energy, sleeping and my mood… :-/ I’m willing to try anything
Because I have a B 12 deficiency, I am considering that formulation to be the most important one to take, including the Multivitamin formulation. I have always preferred to drink my vitamins instead of swallowing them, and I’m looking forward to trying them out.
The liquid D3 & B vitamins would be great ! I shared..FB page
I would love to win and be so grateful. I think the multi-vitamins are the most important first and foremost, and next, the B-vitamins. If there are probiotics, maybe that is the most, even before multi-vitamins. A healthy gut is vital.
I used my ‘Journey to My New Me’ FB page to like Wellesse.

For me, I would say the B vitamins to help with energy or just a really great multivitamin to replace all my others
I take lots of supplements daily. But I think that multivitamins and minerals are a must.
I sent wellesse an email. I think B vitamins are very helpful as I am trying to rebuild my immune system.
I posted on facebook.
Definitely think Vitamin D is the most important…it seems everyone is lacking it, big time!
Probably B-12. I commented on their page and shared on Facebook! Thanks for the giveaway!
I totally need and feel my two kids who are celiac can benefit form the B Complex. The rapid and easy to assimilate absorption is so key to a sensitive digestive system. These products are amazing! This give-away is terrific!
Well, I have proudly joined Wellness on their Facebook—my new Like!
I just promoted you Brittany as well as Real Sustenance on my Facebook —-:) happily!!
WOW! Awesome giveaway! I’d love to win! How to choose which vitamin is critical is fairly straightforward. If I don’t get my multi, I crumble. But, I also don’t uncrumble as well without my D.
Thank you!
Twitter went out about this generous give-away…:) such fun!
I really need the liquid iron! I would live to win this giveaway
I religiously take my Vitamin C. I was just listening today to the Caltons on Real Food Summit discuss the importance of micronutrients, especially vitamin C. On a different note, I love putting avocado in my smoothies like you have here! My favorite combo is avocado + mango + banana.
Isn’t it the best?? Sometime try combining Avocado, Spinach, Mint Leaves, Ice Cubes, Water and Stevia! It’s to die for!
I’m thinking for me it’s either Vitamin D or the B complex vitamins that are most important.
Thank you for this give-away. For me iron is the most important vitamin, I’ve been on and off anemic for years.
What a great giveaway!! The most important Vitamin for me to take, and the one I would definitely buy is the Digestive 3-in-1 Health. I would also buy the Multi-Vitamin, Calcium and Vit D and/or Vitamin D, B-complex, Protein, and then look into trying the others.
I went to the Wellesse FB page and told them I entered in your giveaway!
I shared this giveaway on my FB page and your shake recipe. I can’t wait to try it! It sounds so good!
I take a variety of vitamins but I think calcium is one of the most important for me.
I would have to say Calcium and Vitamin D is the most important!
For me vitamin d is most important. I have chronically low levels and must always take supplements. Pick me!!
Vit d
I am interested in B complex. Thanks!
I posted this to my Facebook page.
I tweeted this contest and recipe too.
Vitamin D is the way to go for me!!! I’ve seen such a difference since I added it to my regimen a few months ago!!
Vitamin d!
Im excited about this contest! I’ve recently discovered the benefits of flutes and dairy free living. I believe calcium supplements are the most beneficial, especially for women.
I’m trying to heal my gut so the digestive one would be where i would start!
VitaminS and supplements confuse me! I get overwhelmed and wind up not taking anything! I know vitamin D is very important especially in the winter!!
I think digestive enzymes are most important!
I do not belong to Facebook, ut I told all of my friends about these new giveaway from Wellesse.
I do not belong to Twitter, but I am verbally “tweeting” to all of my friends about these awesome new vitamins from Wellesse (and the giveaway!).
Right now, I think the Calcium with Vitamin D would be most beneficial for me!
Living in Alaska and not having much sunlight, I make it a priority to take the Vit. D supplement. Without Vit. D, calcium is not absorbed and bones become weak.
Im posting this to facebook…Im not a tweeter
Vitamin D and B vitamins are most important to me.
I think the B-complex or maybe vit D.
Following on twitter and tweeted
I’m going to say calcium. Gotta keep those bones strong!

D3. I need to take it. But I’m in the market for a new multiple vitamin.
For me, the most important supplement is Vitamin D. I notice if I forget for more than a day, my mood and energy drop quickly.

calcium is important to maintain strong bones.
For me I am interested in the digestive 3 in 1 health. I will post this on my FB and will leave a comment on Welesse’s FB page Thanks again for all you do and share with us!
I think vitamin D is too important to ignore and we’ve been sun-paranoid for too long!
I posted the offer on my Facebook page.
I followed Wellesse on Twitter and Tweeted about their special offer.
Vitamin D and Magnesium are two big ones for me……
It depends so much… when I first got diagnosed, L-glutamine was a life saver! I cannot function properly without my enzymes. Granted, a good old bioavailable multi sounds great too.
Vitamin D for me!
Vitamin D is important, along with Calcium, Magnesium, Vitamin E, K. and your B’s. I am in need of all these as well as being anemic, low iron. Liquid vitamin is surely easier for me than to take it in pill form.
Vitamin D and have posted the offer to my FB page.
I’ve also tweeted it.
For me, I would say a multi and vitamin D. Even though I garden, it is still hard to get everything you need through food. I have read that vitamin D can greatly reduce your risk of getting breast cancer, which runs in my family.
I think the Digestive 3-in-1 Health is the most important for me right now. It helps keep my digestion system feeling great.
I left a comment on Wellesse’s facebook page, I shared your contest on facebook, I am following on twitter, I tweeted your contest on twitter and I shared your contest on google plus

I think for me it’s vitamin D — after that B1 because I don’t absorb it well.
the most important vitamin for me is calcium for my bones and teeth. we have family history of osteoporosis and this would prevent that.

Normally, I would say calcium as it affects SO many things, but vitamin D is very much at the top of my list as I have an extremely low amount (as in, sometimes it dips into the single digits!), but today I would say vitamin B-12, as food sources of this not easy to come by, especially if you are GF/DF and don’t eat eggs or meat!
I liked Wellesse’s FB page and commented there as well. Thank you Brittany!
They are all important but I think D and C are critical for all of us.
I think probiotics are important for everyone and vitamin D is essential for women.

I think a good multi-vitamin is important these days because of how many corporations strip the nutrients from the food we eat.

Vitamin C is important to take.

I think vitamin d is crucial!

Because of my back issues I need high levels of Vitamin D and Calcium. I have fibromyalgia so I need B12. I also need a multi-vitamin to make sure and get everything I need.
https://twitter.com/pinoysugarplum/status/223477385402650625
I would guess that a multivitamin would generally be the most important, but we all have different nutritional needs. =)
Vitamin C
multi vitamin is most important
I think it’s good to get your vitamin levels tested to see if you’re deficient and take accordingly. Since most American’s are deficient in vitamin D that would have to be my answer!

I take the calcium & Multi right now but I am gradually switching all my vitamins to Wellness.
I think it’s most important to take a multi-vitamin and split it in half and take a half with breakfast and half with dinner.
For me, the most important is a multivit and B12. Never thought about putting avocado in a smoothie, but I’ll try it my protein shake in the AM….sounds yummy! Thanks for the idea!
for me right now its calcium with vitamin D
The cupcake looks delicious, but I am trying to stay away from sugar. I will try the sugar and dairy free shakes though.

I will post on the Wellesse facebook page.
Vitamin D for me.
j-m-p and d for my creaking bones!!!!
J-M-G and P for my creaking bones 8)

Vitamin D is the most important for me to take.
B-12
For me the most important is B-12.
I think out of the group for me is the Joint formula with Glucosamine because I’m over thirty and an athlete but out of all supplements I think vitamin E or Selenium (depending on the levels in your soil) are the most important to take.
