Chili and Cornbread- Oh My!

by Brittany on October 28, 2010

Today I’m Featuring 2 very fun and very different Chili Recipes!  And a Cornbread that is quick, easy and will NOT fail you!

First up we have a Pumpkin and Butternut Squash Chili. This Chili- I loved. and I mean really loved. The pumpkin puree adds an incredible smoothness in flavor that I never expected. Try to use Smoked Paprika if you can find it- rather than Regular Paprika. It makes a huge difference in the flavor. The Squash adds in another fun element.

Next up I’m Pleased to Pull out an old Favorite.   . Cincinnati Chili (also known as Skyline Chili) Is SPECIAL. Think pasta sauce meets hot sauce meets chili.  Cinnamon, Cumin, Chili Powder and Chocolate are the magical combination behind this Chili. The BEST and authentic way to eat it is over spaghetti covered in freshly chopped onion and shredded Cheddar Cheese. In my opinion this is the ULTIMATE football food.

And Finally Gluten Free/Vegan Cornbread. ohhh the Cornbread! This Cornbread is Light! It wont feel like a pound of bricks in your stomach after you consume it. Its made with Millet flour- instead of Rice.  And as I mentioned above its- an EASY no fail Recipe.
