A simple side dish that I put together to go with a recent dinner that included my recipes for Bacon and Chive Hush Puppies (Gluten/Dairy/Egg/Soy Free) and Cajun Roasted Chicken.
I really enjoy French Green Beans. I buy them in surplus frozen and always have them on hand for a quick addition to many meals. This recipe could be made using any variety of beans- (French cut just happened to be my favorite)
Ingredients
3-4 pieces of cooked and crumbled Bacon (reserve fat)
1 Lb Fresh of Frozen Green Beans
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Smoked Paprika
1 Tsp. Chili Powder
2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1/4 Tsp Celery Seed (optional)
Pepper to taste.
- Cook Bacon- crumble and set aside. Reserve a a TBS or 2 of the Bacon fat in the Pan.
- Add the Green Beans and Spices to the Pan and cook until just tender.
- Stir in a TBS or so of butter (Such as Earth Balance) (optional)
I topped my green beans with Breadcrumbs- for these I used crushed rice chex instead.

Brittany
