Ever had Chicken and Waffles?  Theres a reason they are so stinking popular. Crispy waffles with crispy chicken = heaven!

I took the concept of that classic recipe and gave it a new savory spin.

First I loaded up my crispy waffle recipe with cheddar, bacon and green onions! Then used two waffles to sandwich some crispy fried chicken.  I then added some lettuce slices and spread on some different sauces. Feel feel to use any of these sauce ideas- or come up with your own!

1) Mix Dijon Mustard with Honey! (its good with maple syrup too!)

2) Mix hot sauce with mayo! (Egg free mayo to be exact)

3) Use just straight mayo.

Get ready to wow your taste buds. This is a sandwich recipe you won’t be making just once.

Fried “Chicken” Waffle Sandwiches

  1. Make the Paleo “Fried” Chicken .
  2. Make the Bacon Cheddar Green Onion Waffles .
  3. Toast the waffles in a skillet with a little oil or melted butter (dairy or nondairy).
  4. Assemble the sandwiches with 2 waffles, fried chicken, lettuce  and sauce of choice.

I was waiting for this recipe once I saw your fried chicken & then waffles! Just so you know, I’m so addicted to your paleo waffle recipe, that I had to go buy a regular waffle maker instead of using my Belgium waffle maker. Thanks for all your hard work!!!!!
FYI: If you ever have a hankering for coming up with a paleo fried donut, that would be the bomb! Your site tempts me so & after several years of diet restrictions, sometimes a girl just wants a donut!

I’m all over it!!! I mastered grain free fried dough ( the recipe is on here) so I think I can figure out donuts – as I’ve made them regular gluten free a bunch of times.

Thanks for this recipe. I also had to go out and get a different waffle maker. Been looking for a way to have bread especially sandwiches to take to work and your waffle recipe was the answer. My bread making is not so great plus don’t always have time. I work in the operating room and being a small hospital on call a lot. So your recipe is something I can make plenty when I am not on call to cover those days. This past weekend it would have been great to have a couple of sandwiches since all the food at the hospital is no where near gluten or grain free – imagine that lol. Anyway thanks for sharing.
