Hi Ramona! Thanks so much- happy summer to YOU. Ill be sure to check it out.
I loved fig newtons as a kid! How much fun to have a recipe to try!
I've linked up a scrumptious slow cooker recipe that's so easy I could whip it up in my half assembled kitchen.
Hugs!
Hey Girlie! Hope you get settled in soon! Congrats on selling the house xo
HI,
Those fig newtons look absolutely delicious. I am definitely going to be trying them!
Thanks SO much Jill They are really fun to make.
thank you for hosting! I hope you have a wonderful week!
Thanks Isabelle! Same to you
Brittany, do you have any recipes for those of us w/gluten & nut allergies? I'd love to bake some of my favorites but every recipe I've found so far calls for nut flour of some sort…
Thanks!
Hi Barbara- I only have used Almond flour in a few recipes so far- and anything listed "raw" has a good chance of containing nuts. Beyond that I have a number of recipes that do not contain nuts. Take a peak through my recipe list if you are interested. You might consider also checking out the GLuten Free Gigi site- she is Nut Free as well as Gluten Free/Dairy Free/Soy Free! -Brittany-
Thanks for highlighting my watermelon granita! Also, I'm not sure if this is just my computer, but when I clicked on the other highlighted recipes- they all linked back to mine! I really wanted to check them out so I though you might want to know. I found your blog through The Daily Dietribe and have been loving your recipes- my husband has been begging me to make the fig newtons since those are his favorite thing on the planet and he hasn't had the real ones in years
Oh thats weird.. I wonder how that happened?? Ill fix it. Thanks so much for letting me know! Iris of Daily Dietribe is wonderful She and I are working on a book together right now. If you end up making the fig newtons I would LOVE to hear what you think! Have a wonderful week. xo- Brittany-

Hi Brittany – I finally finished writing up my recipe for this week – so I hope it is ok to submit belatedly, even though I submitted one from my archives earlier as I was worried about not finishing up this post in time. The recipe for this week is a scrummy blueberry, raspberry smoothie with a coconut topping
